I love Sirius XM on the plane

January 13th, 2009

When I fly I end up doing 1 of 3 things. Catching up on sleep, catching up on TV if I’m on JetBlue or catching up on Satellite Radio. Yesterday I flew back from Las Vegas and I was able to listen to the Howard Stern show with the XMP3 Portable Radio. While “technically” the Airline would not want someone to have the device on with live Satellite it’s something I think more than a few of us enjoy and are confident is harmless. So that worry aside, I was able to place the corner of the XMP3 in the tray table. Wedging it close to the Window. For those with Stilettos they often will put the antenna headphones in the window and use regular headphones to listen to the Stiletto.

In any case I was able to listen to the Howard Stern show which I missed. It was the Wrap Up Show that I really looked forward to since it was a rare one where Howard himself appeared. While I was listening the guy who was sitting next to me wanted to know the score of the Football game. I don’t think anyone else in the plane would have been able to find out on this flight except maybe the captains. But I was able to scroll and see the San Diego vs Pittsburgh score way up at 32,000 feet.
