SIRIUS XM will survive!
I never know how to refer to SIRIUS XM these days. Sometimes I want to refer to it as simply Satellite Radio and sometimes I want to refer to it as the company name SIRIUS XM. The method in which the content is spread is done mostly via Satellites but a lot of people listen online, some outside North America.
When Satellite Radio first started off with SIRIUS and XM people tended to focus on the method to which content was spread and the technology behind it a lot more than they do now. Things have changed and over time the focus has been put on the content more. The content really is the most important aspect of SIRIUS XM. There is no other service in the world that brings a nationwide and even international radio lineup in the way that SIRIUS XM does. This didn’t exist before. Radio was never ever like this where so many different genres and talk and sports were all produced under one canopy. Even TV doesn’t even have such a variety of content produced in the way that SIRIUS XM does with one company doing it all and mostly under one roof.
The service is amazing and people who are introduced to it are a prime reference. If someone just got a Satellite Radio as a gift and had it activated just ask them how they like it. It’s all about the service it provides and the joy it brings to you. It’s not about the details of what goes into it behind the scenes whether good nor bad. I encourage people who focus on those details to take a step back as I have done and look at the big picture of what the service does to you and enjoy it.
It’s proven itself and it hasn’t peaked yet. If you have it already you truly are on the ground floor. And trust me when I say, this thing called Satellite Radio or SIRIUS XM is not going away.
