My Sirius Experience

September 15th, 2009

My Sirius (now SiriusXM) experience is summed up in one word.  FREEDOM.  Free from all the commercial filled FM stations where you end up not hearing a single song if you hit a commercial break at that perfect moment. I got my one and only Sirius received upon hearing the news Howard Stern would be leaving the FM airwaves.  Initially I figured all I would need to listen was his show and nothing else.  Well January 2006 rolled around and I was introduced to over 100 channels of “stuff” as I called it.  If I wanted a laugh I’d navigate to the comedy channel, if I wanted news, I’d go to the news channels, and if I wanted music….whoa.  Commercial free music, I had a ton of channels to choose from.

Then came the Bubba The Love Sponge Show.  These guys are crazy, in a good way and solidified my yearly subscriptions to the service.  Now because of this consider myself a lifelong member of Sirius.  I look forward to the company’s growth and prosperity.  Terrestrial Radio SUCKS!
