MK666 and Sirius/XM

September 2nd, 2009

I started listening to Sirius/XM two years ago after I returned from some time in rural Wisconsin.  I wanted REAL music, lots of different types music, so I opted for Sirius/XM.  I knew about satellite radio when it first came out but I just didn’t have the desire until I resurfaced into society.  I think it may have been the divorce.

I mostly listen to my satellite radio in the car, I use a portable Pioneer INNO device.  My favorite stations are Alt Nation, Fred Schneider (1st Wave), and my newest favorite - Sirius XMU!

Can’t Live Without My Sirius/XM

September 2nd, 2009

If there is one thing I cannot live without, it is my Sirius Satellite Radio!  Each morning I wake up to NPR or NPR Talk.  I love that I have friends who listen as religiously as I do, when something exciting happens, I know I can quickly send a text message or a facebook message to a certain few friends and share the news.

Since the merger between XM and Sirius, I’ve been able to enjoy so many additional channels which is a bonus.  Now we have the BBC 1 Channel and additional music channels.  Though I am not a Grateful Dead fan, if you like, you can even listen to the Grateful Dead channel.

In any case, I posted my Sirius blog for anyone who may be interested in trying it out.  I cannot say enough good things about it.  It is how I get through cleaning my apartment every weekend.  I put on 1st Wave or the Punk Rock station OR The Chill station and I clean for hours without a second thought to changing the channel because there are no commercials!
